UI for Google Cardboard

Making UI in VR is difficult.
Not only do you have to take into consideration that reading in VR is already hard,  but UI that moves with the camera can also feel janky or just plain annoying. Add onto the already existing challenges that VR faces the limited mechanics of the Google Cardboard and we have an obstacle that certainly makes innovation difficult. For this game I stuck with simple UI that takes advantage of the gaze functionality. I knew that visibility is important to this game's core loop so I pushed the UI down so that the player has to look downwards in order to access the "buttons." This sort of mimics how sometimes photographers point their cameras downwards to go through their in-camera menu. Additionally, we are considering adding something similar to a tool belt, as that is perhaps the best reason for someone to look around their belt height in order to gain access to something, except probably pockets.
